Hello Knitters!

I have a question for you. I really want to knit a Quidditch sweater (like this one on Leaky Cauldron).

http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/features/crafts/knitting/quidditchsweater

My problem is that I'm a size small, not large. How can I change the pattern accordingly? I'm new to knitting sweaters!

Thanks!

Amanda

Find a pattern for a ribbed sweater that is your size and use Quidditch colours. There are tons of patterns like that on Ravelry.

The book "Charmed Knits" has a quidditch sweater pattern that goes down to a size that fits a 30 inch chest. Is that too big?

There are many projects on Ravelry where the size was changed to much smaller, more childlike proportions with lots of notes suggesting other basic ribbed sweaters to use as a template.

Hi there. That's my pattern. And yes, it is in Charmed Knits with more sizes. I'd also mention that due to the ribbed pattern, it's clingy, even in a larger size.

But it's simple enough to adapt any sweater pattern that uses 2x2 ribbing. Just follow that pattern and work the stripes accordingly.
