snitch intarsia

I'm feeling a little silly and adrift with a new chart, so I made a poll to see what folks think I should do with it. It's only 2 questions, and it's based on the cleaned up golden snitch charts I've just made, spurred on by someone else's comments.

The charts are both 5 color (including background) and the gauge is a ratio of 4s/5r. The larger chart covers 15st by 17r and the smaller chart 8s by 10r. (Later With charts this small, consider duplicate stitch. Much faster....)

Spoilery comments; not plot, just an amusing side detail.

As I was making up the chart I debated how big to make the larger one. I realized at some point how very absurd a really big one would look on the front of a sweater, y'know something really big, like the "R" on Ron's sweater from the first film? So now I'm wondering just how big that "big" snitch is. Because seriously, anything larger than perhaps 2x normal would look exceedingly silly. Which makes me wonder even more about Molly Weasley's design instincts. On the other hand, she keeps sticking a red head in a clashing shade of maroon so I suppose she's already a lost cause design-wise.

I also agree with the sweater idea. Gloves/mittens would be cool because you would use your hands to catch a snitch. So you could make a pair of either gloves or mittens, and on the palm of one put a snitch, so that it looks like you've caught it.

Oooo, I seriously like the glove idea. With 1 life-sized snitch....
