Hello Knitters!

I have a question for you. I really want to knit a Quidditch sweater (like this one on Leaky Cauldron).

My problem is that I'm a size small, not large. How can I change the pattern accordingly? I'm new to knitting sweaters!

Hey everyone,

I am knitting my first project today...naturally, it's a house scarf (Gryffindor year 1 and 2 style). I'm not followinga particular pattern (because i cannot decipher them). I am knitting on US size 8 straight needles and alternating rows of knit stitch and purl stitch. I've got 3 rows done last night because I kept screwing up and having to restart. My big problem is my cast on is too tight, and well, subsequently everything is too tight. I am probably going to restart again tonight and make it looser.

Any tips on knitting a scarf evenly with straight needles?

In honour of Deathly Hallows Part 2 being released today, I knitted a Ravenclaw (book colours) bookscarf. I ended up thinking "Oh, knitting one of these would be perfect for my friend as a birthday gift" and so I texted her to ask which house she'd see herself in and she said Ravenclaw! It was meant to be!

Knitted on DPN US 0 with DMC 5 Cotton Perle #0796 (Dark Royal Blue) and #0975 (Dark Golden Brown).
